Season Possibly Over for Tom O'Day
Friday, June 11th, 2032
South Carolina reliever Tom O'Day could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Maple game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said O'Day would be out 8 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Season-to-date O'Day has 1 save in 9 relief appearances with a 3-1 record and 3.40 ERA.
