Kim Jr. Makes 400 Mark
Sunday, June 6th, 2032
The crowd roared -- they knew they were seeing history -- and Jong-min Kim Jr. was delighted, too. The 30-year-old Republic third baseman was making history with his 400th career homer. The crowd buzzed and roared again when Kim Jr. stuck his head out of the dugout for a curtain call.
"Never, as a kid, did I ever think I'd hit even one," he told BNN after hitting No. 400 in a 3-2 victory over San Diego. Kim Jr. went 2-for-4 in the game, had 1 run batted in, and scored 1 run.
In his 1592-game career Kim Jr. is batting .300 with 355 doubles, 78 triples, 400 home runs and 1340 RBIs. He has stolen 496 bases and scored 1243 times.
