Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Thursday, June 3rd, 2032 San Diego's Manuel Ríos and Dallas's Benjamin Piece have been handed 7-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at The Brew Stade. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner Ríos and Piece provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired. Ríos is hitting .250 for the season with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 38 hits in 152 at-bats and played in 48 games. On the season Piece has compiled a 6-1 mark with a 3.59 ERA in 9 starts. In pitching 62.2 innings he has 41 strikeouts and 13 walks while limiting the opposition to a .249 batting average. |
