5-Hit Blitz by Fitzgerald Thursday, April 1st, 2032 Columbus Aces second baseman Michael Fitzgerald had a day to remember at Central Park Downtown Stadium today, ripping apart the New York Mafia and sparking the Aces to a 5-4 victory. Fitzgerald wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Fitzgerald told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
