Season Possibly Over for Javier González Sunday, March 14th, 2032 The doctors have spoken and Javier González of the Maple Marauders didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. González sustained his season-ending injury during the South Carolina Bombers game yesterday at Spring Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Maple medical staff reported González had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. |
