Tong Will Miss Time After Freak Treadmill Injury Friday, February 20th, 2032 South Carolina first baseman Wang Tong will miss at least a few weeks after being diagnosed with a strained groin. The injury occurred while Tong was running on a treadmill in the team's workout facility. Safety inspectors weren't able to find anything mechanically defective on the offending machine. However, a subsequent review of the team's facilities showed several pieces of equipment to be unsafe. As a precaution, South Carolina management has announced that equipment in the team's aging facility will be immediately replaced with brand new machines. |
