TML Top Newcomer Named Thursday, November 20th, 2031 It was good to make the team roster in the spring... better to make the Georgia starting rotation... great to win 16 games... and even greater to be voted the 2031 Thurman Munson League Rookie of the Year Award. It all happened to rookie starter Ánibal Altichioro in his debut season. He pitched his way to a 16-7 record in 28 starts, tossed 188.2 innings, gave up 207 hits, fanned 126, walked 58 and compiled a 3.77 ERA. Opposing hitters batted .283 against him. Howard Stevens of the Quebec Armada finished second in voting, while Sean Clark of the Bloomington Blazers finished third. |
