Off-Field Injury Strikes Gerard Leeder

Maple second baseman Gerard Leeder called in hurt today. He told Marauders officials that he had suffered a fractured hand while chasing his girlfriend on the beach. After being examined by his physician Leeder said it looked like he would probably miss about 2 months.

In the current season, Leeder has put up a .261 batting average with 142 hits, 23 home runs, 83 RBI and scored 80 runs.
