Islanders Lose Boer for Season Sunday, September 21st, 2031 The season is ending on a bad note for Winston Boer, reliever for the Hawaii Islanders. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Boer was hurt against the San Diego Hops while throwing a pitch. He suffered bone chips in his elbow and will be out for at least 7-8 weeks. This season Boer has earned 37 saves, tossed 64.1 innings, made 62 relief appearances, fanned 76 hitters and posted an ERA of 4.06. Teams are hitting .215 against him. |
