Setback for Maple and Kawanari Takahashi Tuesday, September 16th, 2031 Kawanari Takahashi was taking it slow and easy, nursing a strained oblique back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Maple team official, "Kawanari was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 34-year-old Marauders center fielder would be out at least another 1-2 weeks. Takahashi is hitting .279 this year with 12 home runs and 52 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .362, 55 walks and scored 57 times. |
