Injury Sidelines Chong-hyeon Kim for Season
Friday, September 5th, 2031
San Francisco closer Chong-hyeon Kim could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn rotator cuff. He exited yesterday's Kansas City game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Kim would be out 9 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
Kim has worked 63 innings in 35 relief appearances thus far this season and picked up 1 save. He has dished out 78 strikeouts and walked 31 with a 3-4 mark and a 3.00 ERA.
