Salvador Ramos Gets Hit Number 2000 Tuesday, September 2nd, 2031 What a day for Salvador Ramos. The 36-year-old Georgia first baseman reached the 2000-hit mark today and the Grays whipped the Hawaii Islanders 4-3. Ramos told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 2000, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball." He went 3 for 5 in the game to reach the milestone.
