Eureka Loses Gilberto Chávez for Season
Wednesday, August 20th, 2031
When Eureka reliever Gilberto Chávez was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Hornets-Armada game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Chávez had sustained a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for about 8 months.
To this point in the season Chávez has 4 saves in 35 relief appearances with a 2-5 record and 5.28 ERA.
