Injury Sidelines José Liñares for Season

José Liñares has to call it a season. The Kansas City Tornadoes second baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Georgia Grays and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Liñares was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured achilles tendon and stated that he would not be able to play for 7 months.
A look at his current stats shows Liñares with a .239 average, 10 home runs, 47 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has played in 119 games.
