Tamura Holds San Diego Scoreless Saturday, August 16th, 2031 Masafumi Tamura of the So Cal Republic spun his magic on the San Diego Hops today. He blanked them 8-0 on 3 hits, registering 15 strikeouts and no walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Tamura said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, So Cal skipper Munenori Sato said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Masafumi pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
