Setback for Columbus and Amaui Mahi'ai Sunday, August 3rd, 2031 Just when it looked like Amaui Mahi'ai would soon return to the Columbus Aces, the closer suffered yet another setback in his recovery from a torn labrum. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Mahi'ai experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be disabled for at least 3-4 months. For the year Mahi'ai has made 19 relief appearances and claimed 10 saves. His record is 1-1 with 21 strikeouts in 16.1 innings and a 0.55 ERA. |
