Injury Forces Zane Mogeni Out
Friday, August 1st, 2031
The Hawaii Islanders learned that Zane Mogeni is likely to be out for 5-6 weeks after he injured himself being hit by a pitch in today's game against the Seattle Sasquatch. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a fractured finger. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Hawaii manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Zane is back in action."
Looking at his present stats, Mogeni has compiled a .260 batting average in 73 games with a .355 on-base percentage, while hitting 3 home runs and driving in 19 runs.
