Star-Studded Swap, Trujillo for Caron Thursday, July 31st, 2031 Huge news in both Maple and Jacksonville today when it was announced that the two teams had finalized a blockbuster deal. The Marauders have swapped 21-year-old SS Javier Trujillo, 28-year-old RHP Landy Lu, 35-year-old 2B Victor Rocher, 36-year-old LF Sal Ostendorff and 30-year-old SS Federico Cavatta to the Jacks for 33-year-old RHP Will Caron. No one is quiet about this trade. Everyone has an opinion... some think it is good and some think otherwise. Maple's GM told BNN reporters, "I know this might not be a popular decision to a few fans in town, but I think as time goes by, they will soften their stance. This is a good trade for the Maple Marauders." In 68 games this year Trujillo has posted a .310 average and put up these numbers: 2 home runs, 20 RBIs and 22 runs scored. This season Caron has a 3-9 record with a 4.37 ERA. |
