Hawaii's Boer Out 4 Weeks Thursday, July 24th, 2031 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Columbus Aces, Islanders reliever Winston Boer was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 4 weeks with a hamstring strain. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Hawaii skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. Boer has made 49 relief appearances this year and notched 29 saves. To date in 51.1 innings he has a 3-6 record, 4.38 ERA with 66 strikeouts and 34 walks. |
