McMahon Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games

Long hitting streaks don't happen very often and when they happen it perks up everybody's interest. No one knows how long it will go -- it could end tomorrow -- but baseball fans and Dustin McMahon are enjoying the moment right now. The 31-year-old Maple third baseman extended his string to 20 consecutive games in Legends Park today. McMahon got 1 hit, but the Jersey Jesters got the victory. They toppled the Marauders 6-4. Dustin McMahon grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 7th.
McMahon is batting at a .335 pace this season, picking up 85 hits in 254 at-bats with 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and 33 runs scored.
