Stockdale Strokes 3 HR Against Dallas Saturday, July 19th, 2031 Ellis Stockdale was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 16-2 Portland Beavers triumph at Metroplex Park today. The 27-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Beavers past the Dallas Texans. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Stockdale told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The left fielder went 3-for-5, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Ellis Stockdale hit a solo-shot off Matt Quinlan in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Matt Quinlan in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Nabil bin Baha in the 9th. In the current season, Stockdale has put up a .288 batting average with 78 hits, 19 home runs, 51 runs batted in and scored 43 runs. |
