Republic, Toreros Swap Players Monday, June 23rd, 2031 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in So Cal and Cabo San Lucas as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 17-year-old minor league RHP Felix Mondaca and 19-year-old minor league 3B Denny Malone to the Toreros and 28-year-old RHP Rubén Cabrera to the Republic. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Cabo San Lucas GM. This season Cabrera has a 5-6 mark in 14 starts with a 4.11 ERA. He has given up 123 hits in 105 innings, struck out 70 and issued 24 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .291 batting average against him. |
