The Santa Clara Vampires powered past the Central Tech Blues, 9-3, at River Otters Ballpark. David Conkling went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch. Conkling contributed when he hit a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth. Coming with one out and the bases loaded, the home run proved to be critical to helping Santa Clara get the win.
