Bolten Leads Lancers to Win over Jaguars
The Jacksonville State Jaguars and Canby Lancers brought some excitement to Chickenhawks Stadium.

The Canby Lancers bested the Jacksonville State Jaguars, 9-4, at Chickenhawks Stadium. Gabriel Bolten was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Jeffery Cowell got the win, improving to 4-1. He worked 9 innings, giving up 4 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 1.

In the top of the first, Bolten had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run home run off Nate Salak that staked the Lancers to a 2-0 lead.

"We came out aggressive," said Lancers manager Cody Coffman. "We came out swinging the bats."

The second-place Lancers lifted their record to 24-19.
