Block 3-3 as Poly Squeeze Past Billings West
|
The Riverside Poly eked out a 4-3 win versus the Billings West Golden Bears at Apollos Ballpark. Nobody did more than second baseman Matt Block, who captured player of the game honors. Mike Aldridge got credit for the save for Riverside. It was his 6th of the year. Riverside is now 28-14.
In the bottom of the fourth, with Riverside leading 3-0, shortstop Andrew Withrow hit a run-scoring double. The hit came off Jayden McClary and put the Poly ahead, 4-0.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Billings West manager Brian Neyman.
