Downsview got a terrific game from designated hitter Zach Johnson. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Grand Island, 5-4. Johnson was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times. The save went to Jeff Boggs, his 4th this season. Grand Island is now 20-21, Downsview 18-23.
Dante Harris had a productive trip to the plate with no one out in the bottom of the third inning. With a runner on 3rd, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, helping Grand Island to the win.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Harris said.
