Jaguars right fielder Erik Zacharias put his stamp on his team's 8-6 win over the Central Tech Blues. Zacharias went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs for Jacksonville State in the contest. The 4th-place Jaguars improved to 19-21.

Mark Freeman came through for Jacksonville State when he hit a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-1 fastball to left field, staking his team to a 7-6 lead.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Freeman told the Jacksonville State Citizen.
