Losing Streak Continues for Tigers with 12-4 Loss to Chargers
|
The Topeka West Chargers cruised to a 12-4 win over the Tioga Central Tigers at Alleycats Ballpark today. Nick Marshall led the way, going 3-for-5 for Topeka West. Trey Puglisi earned the win for Topeka West. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 4-3. The losses continue to add up for Tioga Central, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
One consequential at-bat came in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, the batter, Gil Mitchell, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 1-0, Topeka West, and helped them go on to win.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Mitchell.
