Murphy goes 4-for-4, Leads Panthers to Win
Getting a good performance from right fielder Dan Murphy, the Derby Panthers defeated the Montreal Cardinals, 12-6. Murphy went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Panthers. The Panthers, at 21-19, sit in third place in the Pete Rose League Roger Clemens Division.

With no one out in the top of the first, Joel Fiebig stroked a go-ahead 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and put Derby in front, 2-0.
