Bombers Topple Earthquakes, 5-2
|
South Carolina rode a fine outing from starter Beau Miller to victory over the San Francisco Earthquakes at Bomber Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. In 7.1 innings, Miller surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, the Bombers improved to 49-34.
The Bombers got a big boost from left fielder Rafael Campos who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the seventh inning off Earthquakes hurler Noriyuki Ikeda. It was his 9th RBI of the season and put South Carolina on top, 3-2.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Campos. "But I have better dreams after a win."
