Beavers Deal Texans 7-3 Setback
|
Portland Beavers starter Iván Morales was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Dallas Texans, 7-3. Morales went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 1. His record improves to 2-0. With the victory, the Beavers record now stands at 36-48.
Roberto Flores's at-bat in the top of the sixth inning was a big one for Portland. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Portland leading 1-0, the second baseman hit a 2-run double.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Morales.
