Francis Lewis got a terrific game from right fielder Billy O'Brien. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Billings West, 6-4. O'Brien was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Golden Bears go to 20-18, putting them second in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division.

Ryan Moreau dealt the Patriots a crippling blow in the bottom of the 11th. With the game tied and a runner on 1st, he hit a walk-off 2-run home run. The longball gave Billings West the lead, 6-4. Francis Lewis pitcher Tommy Burhoe could only shake his head in disbelief.

In postgame comments, Moreau said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
