Cardinals Win in Glorious Fashion
The Cardinals had to overcome a fine performance from Billings West pitcher Wally Blake to grab a 5-4 win at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds. Blake allowed 2 earned runs over 7.2 innings. Montreal's record now stands at 19-18, placing them 4th in the Pete Rose League Roger Clemens Division.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Montreal trailing 4-2, Dave Adickes hit a fastball from Mike Lund for a 3-run home run, giving the Cardinals the walk-off win.

"This place was electric at the end," Adickes said.
