Patriots Get 11-7 Win Versus Santa Clara
Patriots left fielder Brad Patton put his stamp on his team's 11-7 win over the Santa Clara Vampires. Patton went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for George Washington in the contest. Quincy Taylor got the save, the 1st for him this season. The Patriots, at 15-22, have now won 4 straight.

One consequential at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, the batter, Gideon Dupuis, drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It made the score 7-6, George Washington, and helped them go on to win.

Patriots manager Frank Robles wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
