Fujii on Fire: 5-for-6 for Francis Lewis
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Yasutomo Fujii today -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Managua HS Grounds, but the performance lost a little luster when the Patriots were downed 9-8 by the Derby Panthers.

After his glittering performance, the Francis Lewis second baseman told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat."

His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book.

"I just wish we had added a win in the record book today, too," Fujii said.

Yasutomo Fujii singled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Justin Watters in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 8th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.

This season Fujii is batting .355 with 27 hits, 2 home runs, 14 RBIs, .473 OBP and has scored 17 runs.
