Quinton Lifts Patriots to 9-6 Win
George Washington catcher Craig Quinton made his presence felt in the 9-6 Patriots triumph over the Santa Clara Vampires. Quinton hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win was Donovan Rice's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jeremy Schrimp took the loss for Santa Clara. Ryan Hatch was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.

George Washington took a 9-6 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, left fielder Brad Patton hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Quinton said. "That's how it goes."

George Washington is now riding a 3-game win streak.
