The Downsview Mustangs did just enough to secure a 12-11 victory over the Tioga Central Tigers at Visigoths Stadium. Nobody did more than shortstop Dallas Lingo, who captured player of the game honors. Justin Guscott got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Tioga Central has now lost 4 in a row.

The outcome might have been different had it not been for Lingo. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Mustangs were trailing 11-10, Lingo delivered a two-out 2-run double for Downsview, giving his team the lead.

"They're fun to watch and the hitters get to pad their stats but nobody's really happy about a game like that," Downsview manager Ralph Prince. "I promise you I'm not happy."
