Lerna beat Montreal at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Danny Murray, who earned player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Lerna's record now stands at 19-16, placing them second in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division.

Logan DiPirro was involved in some late-game drama. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, DiPirro hit a run-scoring single. It helped Lerna snatch the win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," DiPirro said.
