Roman Lifts Mustangs to 11-8 Triumph
Getting a good performance from catcher Danny Roman, the Downsview Mustangs defeated the Topeka West Chargers, 11-8. Roman hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5 for the Mustangs. Andy Martin picked up the save, his 1st. Downsview is now riding a 3-game win streak.

When the Mustangs needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Roman who delivered. Facing Topeka West pitcher Adrian Schmitt the top of the first with runners on 1st and 2nd, Roman hit his 7th home run of the year. It made the score 4-0.

Mustangs manager Ralph Prince wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
