Tipton has 3 hit night, Leads Poly to Win
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 17-year old right fielder Andrew Tipton helped the Riverside Poly beat the Central Tech Blues, 9-2. John Radtke got the win, improving to 5-1. He worked 9 innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. The Poly improved to a lofty 24-10.
Making an impact for Riverside was first baseman Aiden Weil. He drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth. For the game, Weil was 1-4 with a double and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
"I hope we get a nice reward for this win," said Tipton. "Like maybe a lighter workout schedule."
