Victory Pushes Islanders Record to 17-16
|
Grand Island Islanders starter Mark Daniel turned in a sterling performance against the Central Tech Blues, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Grand Island reliever Bill Burton was the winner. His record is now 1-2. Kevin Doll took the loss. Jeff Boggs closed it out for his 3rd save.
In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, the Blues allowed the Islanders to take a 3-2 lead on a base hit and Central Tech error.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Central Tech manager Yassin Flament said following the tough loss.
Grand Island now sits at 17-16, while Central Tech falls to 10-23.
