Murray slugs 2 home runs, Leads Lions to Win
In a high-scoring game between Lerna and Billings West, first baseman Danny Murray was a difference-maker. The 17-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 12-8 Lerna win. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Lerna reliever Chester Underhill picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Killingsworth shouldered the loss. Jason Noe closed the door for Lerna, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Murray put Lerna up, 6-5, when he hit a 3-run home run off Wally Blake in the top of the fourth. His 6th home run of the season helped the Lions capture the win.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Murray said.

The second-place Lions raised their record to 16-15.
