Tight Tilt Goes to Titans, 4-3

The Carl Albert Titans did just enough to sneak past the Riverside Poly, 4-3, at Zebras Ballpark. Carl Albert center fielder Scott Cooke earned player of the game honors. Carl Albert, at 14-16, sits in 5th place in the Hank Aaron League Bob Gibson Division.
With two out in the bottom of the sixth, Aaron Cooley hit a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 16th hit of the season and with it the Titans took a 4-3 lead.
"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Cooke told the Carl Albert Gazette. "You win just by scoring more runs."
