Mustangs Finish Off Blues in 12
|
The San Marin Mustangs racked up a win at Oranges Ballpark, bumping off the Central Tech Blues, 7-5. Eric Czajkowski, who started for San Marin, pitched effectively for his team. San Marin reliever Jason Martinsen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dave Millwood was saddled with the loss. With the win, San Marin has a record of 15-14. Central Tech falls to 9-20.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Stephen Todino came to bat in the top of the 12th. Facing Central Tech pitcher Dave Millwood, he hit a 0-2 slider for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting San Marin on top, 6-5.
"I just made my pitches," said Czajkowski, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
