Victory Over Titans Takes Pitman High to 19-8
Pitman High and Carl Albert duked it out at Zebras Ballpark and the Panthers came out victorious.

Pitman High third baseman Adam Verbrugge played a vital role in his team's 8-6 triumph over Carl Albert. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Pitman High. Travis Cloud earned the win to go to 3-1. He allowed 5 earned runs on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts. Danny Ventimiglia, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.

Adam Smiley played a key role in the win. The Pitman High shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, Smiley went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
