Toreros Topple Pioneers, 4-3

The Cabo San Lucas Toreros faced a tough opponent in Vancouver pitcher Alejandro García, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Field de Los Layendas by a final score of 4-3. García went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Cabo San Lucas reliever Amirtharaj Nagaraja was the winner. His record is now 4-1. John Bunce took the loss. Lloyd Hunt finished the game for Cabo San Lucas and earned his 22nd save.
Damian Hoolahan broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the seventh with a run-scoring walk. It put the Toreros in front, 4-3. For the game, Hoolahan went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"This was a good win," said Hoolahan.
Cabo San Lucas's record now stands at 39-44, placing them 5th in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
