A 4-RBI performance from center fielder Sang-ton Kym, who is tied for 7th in the CL in doubles with 9, led the Yomiuri Giants to a 7-4 win over the Chunichi Dragons. Tae-sang Khang, the winner, improved to 4-2. He held the Dragons to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Today's win puts Yomiuri at 23-15, while Chunichi falls to 22-16.
One important at-bat for Yomiuri came with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the bases loaded, Kym hit a grand slam, which contributed to the Giants win.
"This was a good win for us," said Kym. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
