The New York Mafia topped the Bloomington Blazers, 8-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. The player of the game was New York pitcher and The United States native Kenny Allen. The Mafia now own a record of 28-56.
New York took a 3-1 lead on Donald Buchanan's 20th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Buchanan hit in the top of the seventh, left Bloomington pitcher Yoshiaga Rin shaking his head.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Allen.
