Yomiuri Topples Hanshin, 10-7

Hanshin got a terrific performance from right fielder Kiyonori Ogura, but it wasn't enough to beat the Yomiuri Giants. Yomiuri won the Ballpark of Otofuke College contest, 10-7. Ogura was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Kenshin Kawamoto was credited with the save for Yomiuri, his 10th of the season. Yomiuri, at 20-14, occupies first place in the Central Division.
Sok-man Lee contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Yomiuri get the win.
"Good win for us," said Lee. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
