Kym 5-for-5 for Chunichi

After a 5-hit effort to lead Chunichi's 9-2 victory over the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, second baseman Min-u Kym told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE-level is really something special."
The 19-year-old player earned his accolades today at Rebels Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Swallows.
"His swing is getting there," said Dragons skipper Nick Murphy, who spoke glowingly of Kym after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Min-u did that to perfection today."
Min-u Kym doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season Kym is hitting .421 with 8 home runs, 28 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 133 at-bats and a .519 OBP.
